Jubileo por el 150 Aniversario de la Gran Logia de Cuba
El pasado 5 de diciembre la Gran Logia de Cuba cumplió su 150 Aniversario de fundada. Como parte del jubileo por tan significativa fecha se realizó un programa de actividades que incluyó el día 2 un Acto de Hermanamiento entre las Respetables Logias Soles de Martí y la Tropical 56 de la Gran Logia del Estado de la Florida.
Acto de Hermanamiento
La unión fraternal es la vía que inicia, en nuestra fragmentada nación y lacerada sociedad, el cambio de perspectiva que finalizará con las exclusiones. Con esta acción la Masonería envía un mensaje a los cubanos de ambas orillas del estrecho de la Florida: ha llegado la hora de exorcizar a los demonios de la intolerancia y reconstruir nuestra nación.
Así mismo, los días 3 y 4 sesionó el coloquio “Masonería en el Siglo XXI” con tres temáticas: 1.-Informática, información y Masonería; 2.- La educación masónica y su influencia en las nuevas generaciones; 3.- Masonería y Sociedad en el Siglo XXI.

En esta última sesión participó el coordinador del Grupo Veritas con la ponencia: “La Masonería en el Siglo XXI por una cultura inclusiva de respeto y paz”, que en sus conclusiones plantea:
El progreso está en la dinámica interactiva de la complementariedad y la reciprocidad. La vía va de la exclusión a la fraternidad universal.
Sin embargo, paradójicamente la Gran Logia de Cuba en el último tercio de su siglo y medio de constituida, al igual que toda nuestra sociedad, ha permanecido enquistada en el pasado. Sólo miramos la fachada en los templos donde aparece inscripto en bronce el acuerdo del Primer Congreso Nacional de Historia, celebrado en 1942 que declaró: “…la Masonería cubana ha sido en todos los tiempos, desde su fundación, la Institución que más elementos ha aportado a la independencia, la libertad, la cultura y el progreso, tanto desde el punto de vista ideológico, como por el ejemplo de sacrificio, heroísmo y perseverancia ofrecido por sus afiliados para dar a Cuba una vida de decoro humano, de igualdad y fraternidad social y un régimen de sana democracia.”
Se podría decir que nos comportamos según el modelo del filósofo griego Parménides (¿540-450? a. de J. C.) quien afirmó que el Universo es eterno, uno e inmóvil. Cuando, en realidad, las ciencias contemporáneas nos demuestran que está más cerca de la concepción de otro filósofo griego, Heráclito (576-480 a. de J.C.), defensor de la teoría de la constante mutabilidad. Recordemos que esté expresó: “lo único permanente es el cambio y nada ofrece más resistencia”.
La Institución –enquistada en sus talleres- es hoy lo que los científicos sociales han llamado: semilla de sociedad civil. Las prácticas democráticas, con sus métodos y principios, mantiene entre sus miembros –igual que en el pasado- la capacidad de contribuir a las transformaciones que requiere nuestra sociedad.
En el escudo de La Gran Logia de Cuba de A.L. y A.M. aparece la inscripción: Sit Lux et Lux Fuit. Infodere vis. Es decir: Hagamos luz y luz hecha. En la unión hay fuerza. La búsqueda de la iluminación está presente en todas las religiones y se evoca en la iconografía. A su vez la fortaleza de la cohesión es bien conocida.
La luz que reclama nuestra sociedad es la del perdón y la reconciliación. La unión de la aceptación y el amor. Sólo con la complementariedad en la diversidad podremos sanar nuestras llagas antropológicas y entrar en el porvenir como nación.
